“We stayed here 3 nights and were very well taken care of. The hosts are the kindest people! All of the little extras that make a stay special were present. We were offered sleds for the kids to use, given lots of local tips, and plenty of extras for the included breakfast. The family room Kreuzeck, on the ground floor, is quite large and has a corner dining area. It's all very "gemütlich" and comfortable, as well as light and airy. The water pressure is fantastic and the heating is great. The breakfast room for the guests is a sun room with mountain views. The included breakfast is generous and wide-ranging. The next time we come to Garmisch-Partenkirchen we will definitely stay here. We can't recommend Gästehaus Maria and the owners, Manuela and Marcus Thier, highly enough!”

“We had a great stay - location is close to restaurants and city center, room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was delicious with buffet style. The dining room is in a winter garden with beautiful mountain views. The hosts are very friendly and helpful with any questions you have. We highly recommend!”

“We spent a skiing week in Gästehaus Maria. We had their largest room with the nice bay window. Maria and Markus are super nice hosts, who were very helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed their great breakfast in their winter garden with the beautiful view onto the surrounding mountains. The hotel is close to the city center, to all the restaurants and only a few minutes by car from either the Zugspitzbahn or the cable car to Eibsee. It's an ideal location for both winter and summer activities.”

“Great little hotel, a bit away from main part of town but totally walkable, and the room comes with free bus passes. Warm, welcoming host, restaurants nearby. Immaculately clean, quiet, well appointed rooms, with a table and chairs, comfy beds, large bathroom. They have a gorgeous breakfast room and a great breakfast. There is beer, wine and soda available for purchase. Our room had a balcony with a view of the mountains. Very nice place to stay.”

“Wonderful stay - room was cozy and clean and the location is perfect for hikes all around the area (Zugspitze and kramerspitz nearby). The hosts were lovely and insightful too, offering alternative hikes when the weather was not ideal. Had a great time!”
